Been quite clear that some group with clout has been buying big the last few weeks. Several times you would see a big block go up at the ask, and it would be taken out in one buy. Clearly someone bought a good hunk of this and has plans.
With an elderly CEO, there is a decent chance the company will be bought out, but no need for that sort of rumor with the way the stock is moving.

[GDC Sues ADC]

MIDDLEBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--February 25, 2000--General DataComm Industries, Inc. announced today that its subsidiary General DataComm, Ltd. (GDC, Ltd) has sued ADC Telecommunications (ADC) to enjoin the use by ADC of GDC, Ltd's technology.

The suit grows out of a pending action by GDC, Ltd in the Ohio courts against Pathway, Inc. and others. Pathway was acquired by ADC in June of 1999.

The suit alleges that an affiliate of Pathway had entered into three development agreements and Pathway's president and principal stockholder had entered into a consulting agreement with GDC, Ltd for the development of video codec module products.

The agreements provided that the products and intellectual property developed would be the property of GDC, Ltd. In breach of these agreements, Pathway and the other defendants in the action used the GDC, Ltd intellectual property to develop their own video codec module product which has now been incorporated into ADC's AccessPoint and Universal Media System products.

GDC, Ltd seeks an injunction against ADC forbidding it from selling these products, as well as money damages.
