every porch can tolerate a little yapper dog
even if it follows tall people around
nipping at their ankles
barking at the night
polluting the airwaves just to be heard
bad attention is better than no attention at all

he actually makes a lot of sense, after filtering needless yapping out
it is sad that he is such a nonentity in need of being loved

The point in Mr. Molloy's continuing to hang around here ('cause by now he's a regular) is that he wants to be part of the Porch. I think it's kind of touching.
