"Favors says that if it was, the Bull Mkt on the non-Naz mkt is Over"

Nah, really? He's only about two years late on that prognostication.

Gary Burton: First of all you're using Favors"speak"...he has his own way of talking...<g>

The intraday real time numbers, what Dow Jones calls "actual" numbers is what Favors calls "print". The end of day only "theoretical" numbers Favors calls these intraday. Why he call the theoretical numbers intraday is beyond me. The theoretical numbers can only be compiled at the end of the trading day. This is the way the Dow Jones Indices were orginally compiled, as there were no computers in the beginning to keep track of the real time up and down ticks of the Dow Industrials issues.

So at the end of the day the lows of all stocks, regardless of when they made those lows, would be combined to come up with a theretical low. The theoretical high was done the same way using the highs for the day of each stock in the indice.

Any way Favors makes it hard to follow him with his Favors-speak...<g>

Today's numbers are:

The end of day "theoretical" low: 9877.94 (Dial Data)
The intraday real time "actual" low: 9942.78 (QFeed)

Dow Jones calls them theoretical or actual...they should know...<g>

I hope this helps. Per Favors (using the numbers you posted) the Bull is over for the Dow, right?

Regards,
LG
