My two first cousins were in the Red Army (Russian via the Ukraine) - several decades ago large scale conflicts on the Russian eastern front between the Russians and the Red Chinese...did not receive alot of publicity. I also have an associate fluent in Mandarin Chinese and a far eastern expert...the general drift expect the unexpected. The Chinese I believe will try to push the envelope. The United States would make a huge blunder by taking anything other then a very strong line with the Chinese. Our conflict in IraQ my have been avoided if the US was more pointed and clear on its intentions to protect the area. This was a fundamental blunder in US diplomacy and unfortunately alot of people paid with their lives. DoK
