NYSE composite is in a bear market already.
Nowhere in the last 12 months there is a point that if bought, made profit till today.
Now the NYSE total market cap is $10.85 Trillion, and the Naz reached $5.85 Trillion market cap.
Put together they are worth $16.7T.
Since 12/31 the NYSE lost $1.39T in market cap, and the Naz gained $0.59T appreciation plus IPOs (surely not more then $0.1T).
Therefore the total market cap is still lower then on 12/31.
We're on T + 38 and counting.
IMO the SPX portrays the overall picture with best approximation.
BTW, T+34 was a local low, a new low lower then everything since October, and the market attempted a rally from there, which failed last Friday.
