First Cellular Selects Somera Communications for Wireless Network Expansion
SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2000--Somera Communications (Nasdaq:SMRA - news), a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure equipment, today announced that First Cellular of Southern Illinois has selected the company to provide equipment for the expansion of their existing wireless network.

Somera Communications will provide an integrated multi-vendor solution including wireless cell sites, power and transport equipment to support the traffic capacity required by First Cellular's growing subscriber population.
