More than Clinton, I think the wrath of the investing public, right from the man in the street all the way to the lawmakers in Congress, will be directed against Greenspan. "Why didn't he do anything to stop this?", they will say. But right now, they don't want him to do anything that will stop the party. Of course, they will conveniently forget this when we get there. Greenspan will go from a hero to a zero and from being deified to being vilified so fast that it will be hard to believe.
