Mr. Macro-economics, how come then that the Euro is weak (net exporter Euroland, you know) and the dollar is strong (biggest trade deficit in the world - by far)

or why the yen declined precipitously from '95-'98??

don't bother to answer, i KNOW the answer....

trade balances are NOT the sole determinant of currency exchange rates( just for your information - if you want to know more, take a gander at your book...maybe it's the one on macro-economics..:).
