AG is doing great and we must support him by not spending our new found riches too fast. In any event we must avoid the disastrous inflation that took place under President Carter.

the goal of AG is to bring the mkts and economy to a halt.

Greenspan, in his younger years, was an avowed laissez-faire capitalist and a member af Ayn Rands "collective". He published an article in the 60's that was strongly critical of anti-trust laws. He was also an advocate of a gold based monetary system. I wonder, sometimes, if his schmoozing with the political powers that be, and attaining great power himself, has altered his fundamental outlook.

This is an election year. Think of the political consequences if the combination of ongoing interest rate hikes, sky high oil prices, and the decapitation of MSFT does manage to tank the markets before the November elections. It's going to be an interesting year...
