Lost1- I didn't find the example, but then again I only have about 100 symbols scratched on little post it notes. I was one of those. Usually a stock shows decreasing volatility then breaks one way or the other, increasing volatility is rarer and I was just curious if anyone had an idea of which way they usually broke. It seems like it would confuse a trader. Buy the retracement off a breakout, only to have it give a conflicting breakout signal, then reverse the other way and confirm. I'd need Dramamine.
