Hi Briand - knowing you, I will give you the benefit of rooting for your home team <VBG>. However, we shouldn't play with hypes here, since what we said here matter little to the real world, especially with established cos like NT and LU. Most of us here know, even in NT darkest days, she has had 70% of the N American backbone. Although I don't have the hard figures in front of me, she seems to increase the lead by 500 basis points in the past year. This is not to denigrate LU, as I ve tried to defend it time and again if it is reasonable - and I do believe it is a great company. However, it is still too much of a leviathan to turn. LU is where NT was a year ago. NT was concerned about the capacity issue 2Qs ahead of LU. NT redeployed her resources 12 to 18 mos ahead of LU [I guess the cold word is 'layoff'.]

Even though my ownership of LU is shortlived, I think both are great cos, except that NT has been executing much better [maybe luck or maybe foresight, I don't know, since I am not privy to the insider information of either co]

Of course, I could be wrong

best, B
