vl, guess what? i don't like rmbs or amzn - so both you and william can take issue with me.

here's the deal as i see it. rmbs is exceedingly expensive. there are other issues such as rmbs dram requiring its own fan and how that could impact its use in the portable market very negatively.

in addition, rmbs performance hasn't been proven to be better than ddr anywhere except on a piece of paper. however, it has been proven to be a bear to produce and EXPENSIVE at a time when drm mfrs are close to breakeven (after recent price dips).

intel has a position in rmbs stock - a BIG position. the dram mfrs need to have one foot in each pond to ensure they don't get left behind and become obsolete. everyone is waiting for everyone else to go to rdram and none of the pc mfrs are willing to invest big dough to get it.

intel said that rdram wouldn't be used in servers or low end boxes at their last "road map" press fest. ok, maybe they'll get a % of the 10% market that is left ;-)

i bet intel is selling rmbs stock.
