So, what DOES EDIG "offer in the way of digital watermarking"?

You'd think that in between bashing detractors, somebody would try to explain that...

Looks like there are a whole BUNCH of companies with digital watermarking schemes for audio, plus all of the major consumer audio players weighing in with their own schemes as well.

Now, could somebody explain what, if any, involvement EDIG has with digital watermarking, other than incorporating one or more of these schemes into their product? I couldn't find anything on their web site.

Re: Watermarking -

One player in the field is Digimarc (DMRC), whose stock made a nice jump from mid 40s to the 70 range when they announced this relevant info:
biz.yahoo.com

the stock is now back down to the 50s. Their Paper as Portal idea is unrelated but kind of cool too:
digimarc.com

The other is Intertrust (ITRU). They've been talking to a lot of people, including some of the very big Consumer Electronics firms that are making portable digital audio players.
