yup, John, margin debt is now at record levels, and it is not being used to sell stocks short- short volume is very low, This has concerned me for a while now. Been thinking I should sell off some of what i have. But of course, I've added to my positions! Also- look at consumer confidence. Seems like as consumer confidence keeps rising, so do personal bankruptcies. # of personal bankruptcies just backed off a bit, after rising like mad for years. All the time, consumer confidence was going straight up too. Think there's a connection? I do. Victor
