Asian mind?/Totalitarian mind!!

In the 1960's, Communism, as they liked to call it, became Fascism. The governments passing themselves off as "communist," became truly interested in only governmental self-interest. I spend a lot of time in Cuba and joke with my friends down there that the government is really fascist, not communist. They have a roadside placard all over the island, "Socialismo Siempre" (Socialism Forever). Whenever I see it, I laugh to my friends and say "Amigoism Siempre" (Friendism Forever). You have to have a friend in government to get a decent job in Cuba. And that decent job pays $15 per month. The police are the highest paid "professionals" in Cuba ($30 per month).

The Chinese government may very well want to exploit CDMA, try to steal it, and restrict its use to approved elements of the population, especially since, as we here on the Porch know, CDMA is superior to GSM. However much I believe in QCOM and CDMA technology, I am very cynical and suspicious about these dealings with the Chinese. I thank them for being a part of lifting us out of the 105 "scrape." BUT THAT'S IT!!!! I don't think for a minute the Chinese will ever be a part of creating a royalty stream to QCOM. I sincerely doubt it.

JMHO,
John
