No one will say for sure what AWRE gets on a per chip basis. Charles Pluckhahn from Stephens Inc. says they calculate a royalty of about $2 for each ADSL connection enabled by an ADI chip. There must be some variables in the deals. I do believe Charles Pluckhahn has worked hard to gain enough information from ADI and AWRE earnings, CCs, SEC filings and market research firm reports to get fairly close to the right amount.
