Something new is happening that is driving me absolutely batty. My DUN has started inputting/outputting a few hundred bytes every 2-3 seconds even when all my browsers, etc are turned off. It's mostly showing me transmitting but there is some return, as if its talking to a server somewhere.

I don't have any auto update services that I know off, my stay connected stuff is all disabled. I checked through 3 ISPs and its happening with all of them. Alt-Ctrl-Del doesn't show any unusual programs running.

Could it be line noise that wasn't there before? I connect at 51K. What are the chances it's a virus of some sort? I'm updating my Norton stuff right now to take a look.

Most of all, how can I make it stop? One last hint, maybe. When I shut down, the system is hanging many times with the RUNDLL program refusing to close properly. Any connection?

TIA

Alan
