steve, first of all, get your business plans correct. sony's plan is not to make money on the play station itself, rather, it is to make money on the software. i know, i toured a play station plant where i was told this.

so please don't draw conclusions based on the price of play station.

second, very, very, very few people are buying rdram b/c it is so expensive. early adopters of what? technology that ddr beats or equals in almost all comparisons?

yields are extremely low and rdram IS difficult to build.

it is more expensive - signficantly more expensive. the only chance it has to come down in cost is to take over the low and medium pc end of the business and the server business - the same areas where intel said it didn't see rmbs.

See you at $500 later this year

Is that for RMBS or for RDRAM? -g-
