I can't figure out why the market ever thought that stock was worth the paper the certificates were printed on. For the sake of argument grant the premise that Linux will establish some market share. What's the business model for a company like this? Versus, say, Dell firing up an assembly line to crank out Linux boxes. I'm coming to the conclusion that the safe way to play the possible Linux phenomenon is to buy Intel and Dell; if Linux fizzles you still win.
