Actually a lot of people do ....VVVVVV.

This has always been my main gripe about magazines like this and posters on SI who gather a newbie following. The market is an uncertain place. People generally can't stand uncertainty. Therefore, anyone who seems to be confident in their projections, opinions, etc...people listen. I wouldn't doubt that more than a few folks allowed that article to push them over the edge and SELL Q that morning.

I know it is everyone's responsibility to make their own investment decisions, but newbies are very vulnerable to all these hucksters. Everyone has to learn the hard way I guess (I did), but irresponsible reporters and market gurus need to take some of the heat.

Is there ANY national magazine or newspaper that has a positive bias on QCOM? Now that would be a strange duck.

or maybe if a journalist is really that good an analyst, they'd be working for Goldman or some other firm and be doing research for them. And the report would probably be kept by the partners and never make it out to the retail investors/traders.

what's that old saying? oh yeah, "You get what you pay for."

and how much does Business Week cost these days?
