Howard,

Finally found the time to start playing with the PIII 667 system that I picked up almost 2 weeks ago and have been having a devil of a time trying to get it to run.

The store wasn't carrying any ATI PCI cards so I had them leave slots 1 and 2 free for me. Wouldn't you know it but there was IRQ contention on the bus and I just couldn't get the 2 PCI cards to work!

Had figured out the problem by fixing slot 1 (sound card) to IRQ 5 and slots 4 & 5 (shared for IRQ purposes on the P3V4X) fixed to IRQ 10 and was putting the cards back in when..............I shorted the NIC card against the chassis of the computer box!!!!!!

Lost my bios settings on the mb and wiped out the video on the G400 dh! Also, W'98 hangs and freezes midway through the bootup.

Rightly or wrongly, I've deleted almost all of the files on C: and want to load back Windows '98 from the CD-ROM drive (E:). At this point, the system is only recognizing drives A:, C: and D: (2nd HD). How do I go about loading Win'98 back on my system? Also tried to alter the bootup sequence but it seems to always boot up on C:!

Thanks.
