Wall street han't woken up to the vibrant, 70%+ growth
in EPS that could happen in FY2001. Following products
are getting unleased through the pipe:

Windows2000 Data center
WindowsMe
Exchange2000 platinum
SQL2000
Pocket PC
WindowsCE new edition

The above will join Office2000, Windows2000 already
announced products.

Good to see the attorney in question is from Seattle!

I think Microsoft is letting the Judge know that if he harms Microsoft, he will be setting a precedent they will not let him live down.

The Appeals court is predisposed but bypassable, John. They don't have the final word, no matter what. A lot of concrete has been poured.

Re: AOL 5.0

It took me well over an hour to unsnarl my machine after I upgraded from AOL 4.0 to AOL 5.0. I use a cable modem and only connect to AOL via TCP/IP rather than its dialup service. I was amazed at the way AOL trampled over the network settings on my machine while being completely oblivious to the actual environment I was running. This is without question one of the most user-hostile programs I've ever encountered and I can well imagine the non-computer expert being hopelessly unable to cope with the resulting damage that this installation would cause.

If MSFT released an 'upgrade' that behaved this way the press would have a field day with it. Amazing that AOL can get away with this with nary a peep out of the media.
