Some REALLY significant announcements would be if Citrix can get Palm (the main PDA) and major cell phone makers to be partners.

John,
I think the "partnering" is effectively already here. As I recall, Palm already supports ica and major cell phone makers support palm. So the whole thin client thing should work wheather accessing apps via a cell phone, or a palm - cell phone connection. The loose link is cell phone connection.

John, re:"Some REALLY significant announcements would be if Citrix can get Palm (the main PDA) and major cell phone makers to be partners." Good post John, very concise. I also think you've got it exactly right: if, as, and when Citrix announces that they've hooked up with Qualcomm's HDR technology for wireless data communication, it will be time to light the cigars. I am hopelessly prejudiced where Q is concerned, but find it hard to believe that HDR has any viable competition as THE (coming) wireless data standard. I am therefore very hopeful that the Citrix boys know how to navigate between Florida and San Diego! best, mike doyle
