I mainly play options, as I enjoy the leverage, but once in a while I'll trade the equity also. The only problem that I have with trading equity, is the commission I get charged is too much, about the same as my options commission...eg I've traded 2K shares and got charged $40...which I could trade 20 contracts that were less than $10 for the same commission, or 13 contracts over $10...thus I prefer to trade options. But I'm looking to open another account with more favorable commissions for trading equity. I sold my VRTS calls, & 1/2 of my CMRC calls, as I too am trying to free up some cash, due to the market divergence, how much will depend on how the market closes. Cash is always a nice place to be : ) Best of Luck, Where'd He Go?
