Walker to Address 11th Annual U.S. Hydrogen Meeting
Fri Feb 25 13:17:00 EST 2000

WASHINGTON, Feb 25, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Former U.S. Representative
Robert S. Walker will deliver the keynote speech at the 11th Annual U.S.
Hydrogen Meeting sponsored by the National Hydrogen Association. Walker will
address the group on March 1, 2000 in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

Walker, a former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Science,
has been a leading proponent, both in and out of Congress, of hydrogen as an
alternative energy resource for the future. His 1996 Hydrogen Futures Act helped
set the stage for the significant work now proceeding in transportation and
residential applications of fuel cell technology.

His address before the U.S. Hydrogen Meeting will focus on the need to further
expand policy initiatives in the hydrogen field and the opportunities conversion
to a hydrogen energy economy provides in environmental and quality- of-life
improvement.

Currently, Walker is Chairman and CEO of The Wexler Group, a public affairs
company located in Washington, D.C.

Since retiring from Congress, Walker has remained active in science and
technology matters and has regularly addressed the hydrogen issue. He serves on
the Board of Directors of DCH Technology, a fuel cell and hydrogen sensor
company.

On February 29, prior to his keynote address, Walker has been invited to speak
to the semi-annual meeting of the Hydrogen Technical Advisory Panel, an advisory
group from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Walker, a resident of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania, represented the 16th
Congressional District of Pennsylvania from 1977-1996.
