Heinz, agreed. Right now there is bravado and confidence in NASDAQs ability to go its separate way. Continued erosion in the Dow type stocks [with sharp rallies that fail] will erode that confidence. While on the surface, that hang in there-don't sell attitude in NASDAQ is strong, but I believe under the surface, many are going to be surprised at how shallow it really is. Participants won't fight a decline tooth and nail. At some point, it will gradually dawn on them that the NASDAQ is vulnerable also, and there could be a surprising rush to raise cash and lock in profits. Of course strong rallies will follow as buy the NASDAQ dip mentality is entrenched, but just like the Dow before it, these rallies are destined to fail thus undermining confidence. I expect to see a NASDAQ -300 point day before it is over.
Heinz, what do you make of golds action? How much of the GATA manipulation stuff to you feel is a valid assessment? thanks,Mike
