Hi Rande,

I think ANF is extremely cheap and coupled with the new summer fashion line I think they may see a bounce back. The problem is that ANF clothes are extremely overpriced and their quality is subpar.

Having worked there when I was younger I remember openly large boxes from Honduras filled with what looked like rags. Then there was the tedious task of steaming each shirt and then folding them to make them look like they are worth $60.

Their target market of the "frat boy" look can only last so long. Competitors such as American Eagle are killing ANF sales. The Gap is extremely inexpensive in terms of clothing price and has the flexibility to change fashions easily. ANF's success will ultimately be their downfall. They are sensitive to fashion tastes of the 18-25 sector. Which I will say is the most fickle.

Take a look at TNFI. They are a extremely well known brand and dominate with their high quality jackets. Yet, the company is near bankruptcy. Luckily for TNFI they will be bailed out with a buyout for assumption of debt as well as hefty premium so shareholders do not get roasted. I have some March 5 calls as a speculative play.

Best
Icy
