Paul:

rE: "AMD was trading as low as $39 5/16 - and Genius SpryGuy told us all it would NEVER TRADE BELOW $40 again !!!"

Comment: Show me where I said NEVER TRADE BELOW $40 again...My recollection is that I said it might never CLOSE below $40 again!

rE: "By the way - what did you think of the 750 MHz Floppermine being competitive with the 850 MHz AthWIpey in most benchmarks - and FASTER in about 30% of them?"

Comment: Were all 6 of them tested?

Uh oh, thats bad, very bad indeed. Time to sell all your AMD paul.

BTW I was talking to a couple of day traders, Henny Penny and Gousy Lucy and the said that the sky is falling. What should we do about that?

Paul,

what did you think of the 750 MHz Floppermine being competitive with the 850 MHz AthWIpey in most benchmarks - and FASTER in about 30% of them?

I think Coppermine is a good chip. It will look even better compared to Athlon when the clock speeds move closer to 1 GHz.

But when AMD chips with on-die L2 come on line, the performance lead will swing back to AMD (Integer lead. Even vanilla Athlon still leads in FPU arena).
