The privilege of marriage is extended to encourage the formation of families. It is true that some who are obviously barren are permitted to enter into the contract, such as the elderly, but it also true that society raises women with certain expectations, and recourse to the shelter of remarriage supports their role as primary caregivers. In other words, it is part of a whole complex of social relations and expectations, and it is dangerous to tamper with it........
