Stang, as I am technologically challenged, I have only used their applications, Stockvue and Businessvue, and thought they were great. I started reading Pallman's book on Bots (he is ALMI CIO)and it is interesting. How does someone with a finance background and no programming backgroud go about creating agents with NQL?
I am disturbed to hear that you think the price is high. Is it beyond what your company would pay? ALMI has changed their marketing strategy before pretty drastically. Originally they were selling Stockvue, then they started giving it away, then they went to the NQL strategy and licensing it as a language instead of marketing their own apps. Marketing at this point is the critical factor. Do you have any models from other companies that would apply to this scenario? It would be interesting to look at them. By the way, I reposted your SI post on RagingBull, as they have a pretty good following over there. I have found that sharing info between boards can be very valuable.
Thanks again.

<I got a reply from NQLSolutions regarding the pricing
of NQL Spotlight.

Ouch! They seem to be going in the high price low volume
direction.

I say "Bring down the license fee and deliver the technology
to the masses">

What does it cost?

I doubt the majority of people who are still trying to figure out how to use the signature on their e-mail program are ready to program agents. Maybe this is a high end program and should be charged as such. I can't say though, because I'm also technically challenged.

Mark
