A "tip" is freely spoken "rumor" by a chain of individuals
who have no idea where the tip/rumor first originated ...however, it has been passed on through many sources and becomes more politically correct aka "rumor" when it becomes "published"..as shareholder flock to buy or sell on this rumor after seeing press release(could also even be on the rumors/tips that are e-mailed us from on-line stock sites everyday). As the term rumor falls into the same category as tip...can not be authenticated as a fact. Again due diligence is necessary as well as good instincts.
