It is interesting that both of HP's top of the line systems are Athlon based. Elmer keeps telling us that PIII is faster. Maybe he should go explain this to HP, as they appear to be confused.

This made me curious about whether Gateway now offers W2000 on its business models here in the US...

Nope. They do offer 650/700/800/850 base models. Still 650/700/850 on the consumer line. I wonder if they are waiting to run out of 700s before bumping this up to a more distributed range or reflective of the cost points for their Athlons.

Neat! I didn't know HP has a direct thing.

Compaq, Gateway, IBM, and now HP are offering Athlon 850s.

Has Intel "paper'd" the 850/866 yet?
