I went to CompUsa this morning. This famous empty space with label Hp PIII 800, which just about every store had last week, (including the one I returned to) is no longer empty. They have an 800 MHz HP box, but with Athlon CPU!

The other selections was about 60/40 Intel/AMD. Hp had only 800 MHz Athlon CPU and one K6-2 500, and about 4 or 5 Intel, the highest clock speed of 650 MHz.

Compaq had 3 K5, 2 or 3 Athlons, and 2 or 3 Intel boxes.

Emachines is now 100% Intel - 2 boxes - Celeron 466 and PIII 500.

They also had 2 or 3 Sony boxes, one of them was PIII 750.

There were 3 CompUsa (I don't know if these were private label or build it yourself) 2 of them Intel chips (low clock speeds, I don't remember what), the 3rd one didn't seem to have label.
