Your thread is an absolute wealth of information. In fact it is overload for an investment "newbie" such as myself. But I have 2 monitors now and ADSL (which I love) and I'm gaining speed. When I started investing online 5 yrs. or so ago the returns were, at best acceptable. But the last 2 months things have become a bit clearer in terms of trades or more exactly how to handle them. I remember hearing a quote, I'm not sure if its exact, "I never made a bad decision, just lots of quick second ones" well, I certainly do feel that way about a few of trades I have made lately, at least the bad ones. One of the biggest things you have contributed to my trading is PROFIT OFTEN, this is on a sign in my office. If you sell for a profit you are a winner, period. One of the things I am mentally struggling with are the core and trading positions. I know its stupid and I will eventually make the discipline happen, but if I have both positions in a stock and I'm in the money on both, selling only 1/2 for a profit to buy back lower seems to be a conundrum for me. But I am still learning and leaving a lot on the table.
