Gopher,

X box is not due until the fall and there have been rumors that it will be a 1GHz system by then

I hope that AMD isn't selling 1GHz parts into a $150 box in the fall. Unless they are also selling 1.5 GHz parts ;^))

I do not expect there will be any Athlon 600s being produced in the fall.

I wouldn't mind AMD selling 600 MHz Spitfire as a low end model this fall.

I agree Gopher Broke,
re:"current 600 Athlon"

but looking at the past Gateway stories and *ntel's track record, it wouldn't be much of a stretch of the imagination for the final Xbox to still be *ntel would it? That's the basis for my lack of enthusiasm for the Microsoft/AMD alliance to screw *ntel and Linux.
