Very interesting post. I would think that the buyers who rush in to buy on the open might also be less committed to owning a stock in general long term. Would these people be more traders than investors? It could have interesting implications, not only for KOPN, but other high flyers.

gain total            26.75
gain on opening gaps  74.77 or  280% of total  inflate
gain intraday        -48.02 or -180% of total  deflate


If not for the open, KOPN would be less than zero.
