Thanks LG. that is an important observation to factor into the IBM equation.
Also, IBM after the 87 correction traded counter to the overall overall market for years

I was suggesting that the IBM spikes correspond with Market tops and bottoms- it has been in sync for the last several years. After an 87 type event- It may signal for the market but not itself. <g> It would possibly be best to use another stock to confirm a volume spike like GE or some other widely held behemoth. If they both spiked and one or both turned positive- Bottom is in.

Too early to talk about bottoms though. <g>
