Jon, thanks for your advice on Level II. Very informative. I've bookmarked it and will refer to some of your suggestions.

I'm not wanting Level II because I'm a big-time daytrader or a wannabe daytrader. It's that my girlfriend and I, and our 11 cats, trade together. Given our combined accounts and the cycles of frequency to which we trade, having or exploring the option of having Level II makes sense.

I don't think the RB poster to which I referred was paranoid. I think he was simply presenting his point of view based on what he's observed from Level II. I pasted his or her post here, because I think how to trade is as important as what to trade. Such discussions are useful.

Unless it's a Robert Parker Spenser Novel, I don't read many books (I'm too newspaper-driven!). I also admit I'm one of those folks who'll always want to put the device together without reading the directions. Hey, what can I say? But I will check out the book you recommended.
