Brian, some historical perspectives are in order:

Where would the Dow be today if the techs were removed. (HWP, INTC, MSFT etc.) My guess is around 3000

Really? Compare the S&P 500 to the Fortune 500 sometime. Ironically, this active management is one of the reasons why it's so hard to beat.
