Humble Clapster

. . . . I couldn't have said it better. On this Porch has assembled wisdom and intellectual generosity beyond human imagination.

I have always maintained that great maestros encircle themselves with wondrous pupils who, in turn, become great teachers. Such maestros unfailingly learn more in the process than they, themselves, knew in the beginning.

Voltaire's own humility is vital to the process. He never ridicules, simply departing when attacked by the minds of those unwilling to learn and enjoy the process. His own humanity is the key to the group, which once assembled becomes stronger than the originator.

Long Live the Porch,
John
