>>As long as the Fed thought that the economy wasn't growing too fast nothing would be done about the stock market.<< wayne, that is their story. fact is, al.com has done something for the market. he blew up the bubble and did so actively. al.com wants a controlled bubble. ie, controlled irrationality. the current love affair w/ the market will dissipate quickly when 30% returns disappear w/ potential losses. al.com will continue to feed the bubble - at least until election time. jmho.
