Yes, StrongArm supports various operating systems including VxWorks. I think there's also an I2O connection, but the details escape me. James Connolly might have further info.

StrongARM is one of the two I2O processors. All I2O processors use WRS' IxWorks. StrongARM is also the core in Intel's networking processor -- IX1200. The IX1200 is in the center of the Intel IXA architecture. WRS' TMS is used in IXA.

Intel will also push both StrongARM and X86 in a number of embedded markets both as CPU and core. WRS will get some design wins in this space.
