Since Ants will make Server Farms more powerful which will help ASPs, I think it is worth keeping an eye on its progress. It looks like they are working with some big companies-top 5 ERP vendors. Here is a job ad from Monster.com, for ANTS: US-CA-Burlingame/San Mateo-Software Development Engineer The ANTsSoftware.com an exciting internet startup company needs an experienced software engineer, creative, high-energy and talented C++ Software Development engineer for the integration of Ants product with the ERP software vendors applications. This person will be responsible for implementing the ANTs software product with ERP application vendors (e.g. Lawson software, SAP, Oracle Financials) code. This person needs to be able to work on a fast paced environment with state of the art technology and in collaboration with engineers from the top 5 ERP vendors. Major Responsibilities include: õ Interface ANTs Software product with the ERP vendors (e.g. Lawson software, SAP, Oracle) application packages. õ Coding in C++. õ Write asynchronous communication package. õ Testing, documentation and engineer assistance on benchmarking tools and execution. Experience: Musts: õ Strong experience (more than 5 Years experience) in C++ development and Client-Server application Development. õ Good knowledge and experience with XML. õ Extensive development experience in Unix or NT. õ Strong Kernel (Unix or NT) experience including multi threads OS. õ Experience with development of distributed network computing systems. õ Knowledge and experience in database design fundamentals (SQL). õ Object Oriented design/program experience. õ Knowledge of distributed systems and internetworking. õ Experience with advanced database features such as transactions, triggers, and security. õ Minimum BS in CS and 5 years experience. õ Product development life cycle experience.
