what did I buy?
it was the BMW name, the Ultimate Driving Experience, the superior technology, the bigballs engine and drivetrain, the longevity, the reliability the comfort, the sunroof, the comfycozy seats, the decent gas efficiency... not to mention the loaner of a BMW Z3 during service stops or warranty work

I demonstrated for the saleswoman how one can stop real fast
cruising at 40 mph, I hit the brakes, downgeared into 1st gear, let up the clutch, and stopped on a dime

she almost lost her lunch
I said "way cool, sweet cheeks"

she was very nice, with good smile, but 20 extra pounds on the fenders

this chariot represents a fullcircle for me
in 1973 before you bozos knew what BMW was, I bought a 2yr old white BMW2002 for a measly $2000... I knew it was the ultimate driving experience, since my buddies were hot on their worldclass motorcycles back then... paid for the Beemr with funds from extracurricular senior college year contraband private enterprise... reefer madness was big in those heated campus post-VietNam years

from illegit bottom of food chain income sources to the legit top of food chain income sources

aint America wonderful?
to Lhaso Mollopso and whoever despises me:
kiss my ass, eat my dirt, suck my exhaust, you are roadkill

by the way, 7 year statute of limitations sprung up as a greenlight 20 years ago
