This has been debated ad nauseum on the GTR thread. The way the report is currently released is about as "fair" as it's going to get. If it goes out after hours, the stock is posted on Yahoo et al. Not too fair to subscribers. It also gives an advantage to those who can trade pre/post market. If you need "more time to process and act upon the news" take as much time as you like. Fairness is about equal opportunity, not about equal outcome.
