Rich: Thanks for the wireless articles. I'm "with you" on this one. The more wireless penetrates, and gains, market share(not to mention penetrating the "collective consciousness"), the more such as VLNC stand to gain. After all, there's no such thing as an infinitely long power cord, eh? ;-)

Truly, the day may well be coming when(heavy industry and such aside), the average white-collar worker can be ANYWHERE and still be connected to work, etc.. 'Course, the downside of all this is also an area the Finnish have begun to experience....that is...if you think telemarketing and junk mail are bad now, just you wait......

But; as long as the telecom world can provide me, the end consumer, with the ability(for a price of course, heh) to block calls....well....all-n-all, telemarketing, et.al.'s a small price to pay for the connectivity gain. IMHO, of course!

Regards!

John~

Hi Rich, hi John-
Thanks, Rich, for the wireless articles. The first article centered on the theme the phone will win out over the PDAs, The author may have thought without technical barriers to entry, the larger installed base of the phone companies will prove decisive, but that wasn't his pitch, and w voice over internet, what exactly is the phone cos competitive advantage? I'm not sure it is so clear. The second piece emphasized the values of PDAs-brains and screensize. Maybe 3-com will be in the phone business... In truth, there is more of a coming together of these technologies. In the long hall, which companies win is harder to discern from here. [Just so long as they use VLNC batteries]
Thanks again for the posts - the first especially had lots of good information and both were great fun.
