My manifesto would be incredibly simple and focused on security, category financial. That's waht drew me into stocks in the first place and thus to this sylvan corner of SI. Pay off house. Have enough money/insurance that family can go on. Fully fund college accounts for both kids. Perhaps have enough that if I retire or am laid off Right Now, I can still live ok in cruise mode. When Right Now transpires, I'll pop the cork on a very very good bottle. In the meantime, live clean, simple and honest. Make sure my kids know me and like what they see. Always give Spouse a reason to like the idea that she married me. Other things that I'd like to do before I'm recycled: See an Aurora borealis. See a total eclipse of the sun. See a tornado "live". See the sun rise from the top of Ayers Rock.
