From the CEO of Pristine to the Market Gems thead: We are looking to recruit a number of talented financial writers to join the Pristine Editorial Team. Writers and company/industry researchers are really what I need. Here is what they will have to do to qualify. A) The candidate must demonstrate that they have been trading or playing the markets for one year or more. If brought on board, we will ask for a copy of a recent brokerage statement, and one from a year or more ago. We are not looking for profitability, just involvement in the market. B) The candidate must have some experience (even light experience will do) writing. If the candidate meets the above criteria the following can be done. 1) The candidate will have to submit one sample piece (writing) on either the market, the economy or a specific company. The piece can be as short or as long as they deem appropriate. The address they submit this too should be resume@pristine.com. From these pieces, we will contact those who we feel have the style and talent that fits into our model. 2) Those who get contacted will be given two more assignments. The first will be to research a hot technology company (that we pick), and write a newsletter piece explaining why the company is a buy, based on the research. The second assignment will involve the same, but instead of a hot technology company we will choose a dull stock in a dull industry. With this second assignment we will be looking for the individual's ability to write interesting commentary in the most challenging of all circumstances. The favor I'm asking is this. Can you post our Recruitment effort on your SI thread? This would give it a good boost. If you would say something to the effect that Pristine.com's rapid growth here in the US and abroad has put the company in the position of needing more editorial talent. You would know just what to say I'm sure. Encourage anyone who has a love of the markets and has good writing/communication skills to send in a simple of their writing.
