I probably shouldn't even bother, but...

You made light of the fact that I was suggesting the short interest was still very high.

You were pointing to a five-week old figure and claiming it as evidence that the short interest had not significantly changed since approximately the time of that very figure. Sorry, but that's just silly.

Actually Lehman did what they could to contain the stock, but considering the volume didn't tail off in February they did not have enough ammo to drive it down and hold it.

So you know for a fact that Lehman has been doing a lot of selling. Rhetorically, what does that tell you about who is likely to be responsible for the presumed increase in short interest?

There is no post, at least on SI, with instructions to the minions to cover.

Correct. The message was delivered by private e-mail. That is why I chose to inform you of its existence last night. You may choose to believe it or not, it does not matter to me.

With all the short covering taking place on January 31st it's curious how that is the day SNRS closed down at 7-1/8.

Two more things to learn: 1) No one is obliged to follow any of Anthony's moves, even though doing so is a good idea more often than not. Some might have covered earlier, some might have elected to continue to hold, some might even have chosen not to participate in SNRS at all. 2) Those that do follow a particular move are excoriated not to run a price up in the process of buying. The fact that those who wished to were able to get out at the target price or lower, tells me that someone was selling to us. And while I don't know for sure who that might be, I'm guessing their name begins with an L and an e.

I think we're done now.
