No, I was thinking of things other than buildings being built. I'm not sure I can say it well. Maybe with freeways and parking lots and the streets of suburban Tacoma. Not the buildings of artists. Not at all. I think the direct contrast of Dyer's classic inerface and this one is really an archetypal illustration.

Billboards and the new SI strike me as similar. To me, the aesthetic, functional, and commercial construction of this place is really powerful, and the power is ugliness.

Em's the breaks; but I didn't start using it when it looked and operated like this. And I'm not sure I will use it.
